Orion in mystic clouds

Magellanic Cloud

Only once a year, the city of Andacollo turns off the city lights for one minute. I happened at the right place at the right time. If the city lights were on there would hardly be a star visible. Inicial Page Back to Gallery

Milky-way rise in Valle del Elqui
The cool winter nights are one reason for an especially clear sky. The snow-covered Andeas in the back of the picture are over a hundred kilometers away. Only in winter you can see that far in this area. Inicial Page Back to Gallery
